Hypnotherapy is classified as complementary medicine under the T&CM division, Ministry of Health Malaysia.
AHPM is a founding member of the Federation of Complementary and Natural Medicine Associations, Malaysia (FCNMAM) one of the eight bodies recognized by the Ministry of Health, Malaysia under the T&CM Act. All hypnotherapy practitioners must be registered with AHPM to get their practice licensed.
